Apple pie with jasmine tea. Recipe step by step

Apple pies are one of our favorite desserts, very healthy and ideal for a delicious snack. Jasmine tea is one of the most consumed oriental teas, as I told you in my comments about the different types of teas. You can make this original jasmine tea apple pie in a hoop mold or a round pie mold.

Ingredients for 6 people.

300 gr. of red apples, 160 gr. of flour, 150 gr. of sugar, 50 cc. of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of jasmine tea, 2 eggs, an envelope of chemical yeast (royal), butter.

Elaboration.

Make an infusion with 100 cc. of hot water and 3 tablespoons of jasmine tea, letting it sit for about 5 minutes.

Mix the eggs with 120 gr. of sugar in a bowl. Add the oil, strained and cooled tea and mix everything well. Mix separately 150 gr. of flour with the yeast and add little by little to the previous mixture, until making a homogeneous dough.

Peel the apples, remove the heart and cut into slices. Reserve some slices with the skin, to decorate the cake. Mix the apple slices with the previous dough, stirring well.

Transfer the dough to a round pie or hoop mold, buttered and lightly floured. In this case I used small cake molds, so cooking will be shorter. Cover with reserved apple slices. Sprinkle with 30 gr. of sugar.

Bake in preheated oven a 200º, for 30-40 minutes, or until when you insert a skewer in the center, it comes out clean. Let temper, unmold and serve.

Tasting tips.

Serve tempered this original jasmine tea apple pie, so it will be much more juicy and tender. If you keep it cold, remember to warm it a few seconds in the microwave before serving.

The ideal accompaniment, of course, is a jasmine tea, or a glass of milk for children. If you do not have jasmine tea improvises variations, it sure is very rich with an Earl Gray tea.
