January is the month of light recipes, which we are all trying to fulfill New Year's resolutions that involve eating healthier and getting fit. But to achieve this it is important that the recipes in addition to light are rich and tasty, like this sauteed broccoli and prawns with oyster sauce inspired by Damn Delicious.

To complete the dish, if we want, we can accompany it with some brown jasmine rice, which we must prepare a little in advance, because it costs more to cook than normal rice or basmati.

Ingredients for 2 people

  • For the sauteed: 12 prawns, 1 medium broccoli, oil, sesame seeds, garlic and salt
  • For the sauce: 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger, 2 cloves garlic minced, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon corn starch, 1 teaspoon Sriracha hot sauce

How to make sautéed broccoli and prawns with oyster sauce

We start preparing the sauce. To do this we mix all the ingredients in a bowl, stirring well, and reserve. On the other hand we peel the prawns and put them to brown in a pan with a little oil.

When the prawns have browned, we add the broccoli, which we will have previously washed and chopped. We sauté for three or four minutes (or a little more if we want the broccoli more made) and then add the oyster sauce (it is not necessary to add all, but to taste). Stir well, let it permeate the sauce and serve with brown rice.
